Fatelia Avery
Narrative:
Fatelia Avery is an associate in the firm’s Memphis office. Fatelia focuses her practice on labor and employment litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining the firm, Fatelia clerked in the Northern District of Mississippi for Senior Judge Michael P. Mills. Fatelia earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. While in law school, Fatelia served as Associate Notes and Comments Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and served on the Moot Court Executive Board’s Diversity Committee. Fatelia was the Recipient of the 2022 Inaugural Student Diversity Award, awarded to the student who demonstrated a distinctive and ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competence.
In her free time, Fatelia enjoys reading autobiographies, self-development books and singing.
